FROM START TO FINISH

Five simple steps.

A guide for your project. Scope, inclusions and dates must be confirmed in your quote.

  1. Your project

We discuss your openings, your home and your priorities.

  2. The assessment

Measurements, products and finishing details are checked.

  3. The quote

You understand the proposed work and its conditions before deciding.

  4. Installation

Our own teams carry out the agreed work.

  5. Follow-up

We review operation, care and warranties with you.

What to confirm at each stage

Start with your home

Start with the openings involved, then describe what prompted the project: a dark room, a window that is hard to operate, a passage to improve or an exterior to refresh.

  • Which rooms and openings are involved?
  • What would you like to keep?
  • What problems have you noticed?

Confirm the details involved

Clarify what will be kept, replaced or reworked. Measurements, operation, glazing, joints, thresholds and finishes need different checks depending on the service.

  • What needs to be measured and confirmed?
  • What clearance do handles, window sashes and doors need?
  • Which finishes are included or still to be chosen?

Know what is planned

Your quote should make it clear what will be replaced and what will remain. Ask about related work, inclusions, exclusions and preparation steps.

  • Who prepares and clears the work areas?
  • Which elements will be removed, if any?
  • How will unforeseen work be discussed?

Prepare the installation

Our own teams carry out the installation. Discuss access, affected rooms, surfaces to protect and availability in advance to plan the work.

  • Which access routes need to remain clear?
  • Which areas will be used during the work?
  • How will dates and steps be confirmed?

Review everyday operation

After the work, review the agreed scope and the details of the elements involved. Depending on the project, ask for a reminder of operating or care instructions. Keep the documents and service information together.

  • Are there specific operating or care instructions for the elements involved?
  • Where can you find care instructions?
  • Which service contacts and written terms should you keep?
What your quote should cover

Before deciding, ask for these parts of your project to be clarified.

The openings

The elements involved, intended products or materials, and measurements to validate.

The finishes

Interior and exterior transitions, trims, thresholds and elements being retained.

The work site

Access, preparation responsibilities, removal and related work.

The terms

Confirmed price, dates or confirmation steps, inclusions, exclusions and applicable written terms.

Prepare your home for the work

This list helps prepare the conversation once the project is confirmed. Agree with the team on your responsibilities and what is included.

  • Identify furniture or objects close to the openings.
  • Note blinds, curtains or coverings to discuss.
  • Flag restricted access, upper floors or stairways.
  • Plan for the movement of occupants and pets.
  • Note rooms that need to remain usable.
  • Gather questions about finishes and operation.

Agree on the preparations with the team before work begins.

Door and window replacement

  • Make a list of the openings, room by room.
  • Note what you would like to keep and what you want to change.

Insulated glass replacement

  • Identify the affected openings without taking them apart.
  • Note when you first noticed the change.

Windows for new construction

  • Gather available plans and a list of the windows planned.
  • Note the stage of construction and coordination points to discuss.
