THE PROJECT GUIDE
The right questions.
Before you choose.
Replacement, glass, installation or a quote: find the points to check before making your choice.
Define the project
Does the whole window need replacing, or just the glass?
Fogging between the panes and a damaged frame may call for different work. Note where the fogging appears and whether the window opens and closes normally. The condition of the glass, frame and mechanism helps determine the options.
Can I replace only some of the openings?
Yes, you can start with the windows and doors that need attention most. Make a room-by-room list and separate immediate priorities from work you are considering later. Style consistency, related work and the scope of each stage should be set out in the quote.
What should I prepare for a first conversation?
Product type, approximate quantity, your city and preferred timing are a good start. Notes on the existing opening, access and finishes also help. Approximate dimensions do not replace final measurements.
Choose the details
How do I balance daylight and privacy?
Consider the room’s orientation, distance from the street and neighbouring views. Glass area, glazing type and window coverings work together. Compare the options actually offered for the selected product.
Are the colours on this site available finishes?
The palettes and illustrations suggest style directions. To choose a finish, compare samples and documentation for the selected product. Colours, materials, dimensions and configurations still need confirmation for your project.
Can I compare window performance?
Ask for technical data for the exact configurations, with the same glass type and comparable dimensions. Frame, glass and installation all affect the result. A product rating alone does not predict your home’s energy savings.
Plan the work
Who carries out the installation?
FenXtra uses its own installation teams. The work stages, access and finishing details should be clarified in the quote for your project.
How do I find out the price and timing?
Price depends on the number of openings, selected products, existing conditions and finishes. Ask for a quote that sets out inclusions and exclusions, then confirm availability and how dates will be set.
Which warranties apply?
FenXtra offers a 10-year labour warranty. For contracts signed on or after January 1, 2025. For products purchased from and installed by FenXtra. The 10 years start on the installation date shown on the invoice. Labour to correct issues attributable to installation performed by FenXtra. Proof of purchase is required. The manufacturer’s recommended maintenance must be followed. Exclusions include: Accidents and abnormal use. Lack of maintenance. Extreme weather and disasters. Structural movement. Unauthorized modifications or repairs. Normal wear. Cosmetic issues with no functional impact. Product warranties and parts coverage are separate and provided by manufacturers. To request service, prepare your invoice and photos if needed, then contact FenXtra. Read and retain the written terms applicable to your contract.
The project planner and images
Does the form send a request to FenXtra?
No. You can prepare and download a brief without contact details. This preparation sends nothing. To contact FenXtra, use the separate submission form once it is enabled. Edits stay on this page; downloaded files stay on your device.
Which visuals show a FenXtra project?
The Val-des-Monts entrance photograph was supplied by FenXtra; the other Chelsea and Val-des-Monts project images come from its public videos. Captions and links identify their sources. The illustrations and mood images help explore styles; they do not represent FenXtra installations.
